| Joyful Beginnings! |
| |||||
| It is with great joy that I welcome you to this, the first newsletter from Daughters of Ishtar. After a couple of years of relatively solitary gestation - the slow and sometimes reluctant work of anchoring the foundations, of clearing the way for my own fuller embodiment of these strong goddess energies - the time of birthing is now upon me!
Daughters of Ishtar is all about creating a structure through which I can more fully and effectively embody my vocation as a priestess of the Goddess within my community, and be financially supported to do so. Earlier this year I registered the business name and applied for an ABN. Since then, I have accepted the challenge of bringing through the initial two of what is fast shaping up to be a cycle of eight deeper mystery ceremonies, celebrating the goddess wheel of Ishtar in all her aspects, and have begun to hatch the third. My dream for the future is to create a permanent dwelling for the Goddess, a publicly accessible sacred space with one room devoted to each of her four primary aspects.
| Healer at your service | ||||||
| I am pleased to be able to announce that I have found a home for my healing work at Totally Alive in Douglas Ave, South Perth. (Thanks to Sonja for putting me in touch with the vibrant Casey Terry!)
If you know a woman who is pregnant or planning a pregnancy, or who is seeking healing for issues around conception, pregnancy, childbirth or motherhood generally, I would be grateful for your referrals. I am currently available on Monday afternoons and Friday mornings by appointment. I first began experimenting with intuitive energetic/spiritual healing in my late teens, and since that time my innate healing gifts have been strengthened and matured through my life experiences as woman, wife, mother and priestess. My healing work gives me the opportunity to surrender into and more fully embody that deep expression of love which is my beloved Goddess.

| Goddess mysteries are like yeast - they rise, and rise again! | |||
| It seems inevitable that my dreams and visions should consistently lead me back to the temple of the Great Goddess. The need to create sacred space which is both devotional and strongly transformational seems to be an inherent part of my being, and a consistent source of joy and fulfilment to me. | |||

Guided by a strong fascination with pregnancy, birth and babies, and an ongoing question about what it means to be a woman, my personal journey has led me into (and sometimes out of!) a rich variety of soul-connections, friendships and partnerships - and of course, the exploration of sacred ritual in a variety of forms and contexts.
My current work is very much about the recovery of an ancient mystery system, or perhaps I should more accurately say its rebirth in contemporary times, because my personal concern is always with dreaming into being new forms of spiritual expression and connection that will nourish us collectively as we move forward into an unknown and uncertain future. The spiritual framework of the Ishtar Mysteries as they are presently emerging in my consciousness is founded upon four distinct aspects of Goddess windows upon the infinite unfathomable depths of the deep mystery underlying the cosmos. Within the emerging Ishtar Mysteries we encounter Her : Rising into our conscious awareness as the stellar mother of the abundant breasts; Enthroned in our hearts and wombs as the red seat of woman-power; as the Transformer, who touches and changes every aspect of our beings. As Ishtar Embodied, She call us to become who we truly are, the living embodiment of the Goddess in every cell of our bodies.
| I am presently working with opening to divine guidance to bring through what may be a cycle of eight ceremonies celebrating the deeper mystery points on the Ishtar Wheel. The initial two ceremonies celebrated the sacred mystery of a womanıs surrender to the divine which enables conception and the in utero mystery quickening of spirit spiralling its way into the DNA of our forming physical beings. The next ceremony, on the 18th June, will enable us to attune to the mystery of birth. And if the previous ceremony is anything to go by, the energy will be full, deep and strongly transformational in nature.
I hope you consider joining me in my celebration of these holy and enlivening mysteries very soon.
