SPRING EQUINOX APPROACHES!

Dear Sisters,

Spring equinox is just around the corner, and I've been busy giving the Daughters of Ishtar website a good spring clean!!

You'll notice a new focus on women's rites of passage - budding and blossoming ceremonies for girls, blessing circles for brides and pregnant mamas, full bloom ceremonies for peri-menopausal women, wisewoman ceremonies for our beloved crones... I hope you'll find a few minutes to take a peek and maybe find some inspiration for the women in your intimate circle.

I'm happy to report that my application for registration as a civil marriage celebrant is now in the hands of the Attourney General's Department, and I'm hoping for a successful outcome. I'll keep you posted!

In the past couple of weeks we''ve been exploring the potential of FACEBOOK as a networking tool... Very promising - although Miriam and I have both found ourselves temporarily way-laid by the many exciting options to 'send' flowers, smiles and 'good karma' to all our new facebook friends.. :) ! If you are curious you can find our page here.

I've also started a new blog - The Goddess Rose - in which I reflect on the mysteries and my personal experiences as a priestess of the Great Goddess... You'll find a taster of the first article below

Our next Women's Goddess Mysteries ceremony is coming up in just under two weeks - on 20th September!

We're hoping to get this women's meditation
blessing circle started soon.

Monday nights from 7:00pm in Hilton.

Meditation on a variety of sacred feminine themes, followed by chai-tea.

Cost: $80 / 6 weeks

If you are interested, or know of someone who might be, please contact us!

Miriam and I went up to Kings Park to see the wildflower show - a day early as it turns out - but the flowers were all out in all the colours in the gardens and Miriam was able to take some lovely flower photos to share..

Looking forward to seeing you soon, Goddess willing.

Spring Sunshine Blessings to you,
and may the scent of spring on the breeze
uplift and inspire you!

~ Spring Equinox Mystery ~
A Celebration of Mother-Love

Do you ever feel very small? Do you sometimes feel stretched by the bigness of what life’s asking of you? The demands of holding an adult space, of recognising and managing your own needs as well as the needs of others who depend on you can sometimes seem beyond us. If you know you do your best to take care of yourself in the face of these feelings, but sometimes feel inadequate to the task, you are surely not alone. The practical and emotional support of a friend or lover can sometimes ameliorate the sense of overwhelm, but there are times when we know we need another resource. You know what I mean?

Then’s the time to come sit yourself down in the abundant lap of the Star Goddess, and let your small self be gathered up and held in loving arms...
